The RACO Modular Actuator, or MA series, is a Ball or ACME screw driven, fully electric linear actuator that can be customized to meet the specific requirements of an application. These extremely flexible, modular systems, are available in thrusts up to 314,700 lbs (1400 kN) and Standard Strokes up to 78” (2000 mm). The larger actuators sizes 9,10 and 11 stroke lengthes up to 236" (6000 mm). The MA actuator can be furnished in many drive configurations and be adapted to most electric motors, from AC or DC motors, high performance.
Depending upon your application requirements, we can offer either the reliable RACO self-locking ACME Screw or the quality RACO Ball Screw for high performance, accuracy and positioning applications.
The RACO Compact series electric linear actuator has almost the same performance data as the MA series actuator, however the actuator has the smallest stroke to overall length relationship, short overall dimensions and a very compact and economical design. It is engineered for lighter duty applications, compared to the extreme heavy duty RACO MA actuator. It has a flexible modular design, which allows you to customize the actuators to the application requirements. The Compact Actuator family is available with a wide variety of drives such as the standard RACO motor, AC or DC gear motors and high performance Servo motors.
Depending upon your application requirements, we can offer either the reliable RACO self-locking ACME Screw or the quality RACO Ball Screw for high performance, accuracy and positioning applications.
RACO ball screws are the best choice when precise and dynamic positioning tasks in industrial operations are required. Our ball screws are designed for long lifespans of several decades and have an efficiency of over 95%.
RACO ACME screws are made of high-quality materials and guarantee reliable performance. They are self-locking and can safely hold high static loads in various intermediate positions.
The RACO LM Module is a belt driven linear actuator housed in an aluminum extrusion. It is best suited for light load and high speed applications, making it ideal for multi-axis motion control systems. Various sizes and configurations come standard.
The RACO LT 2060 is a ball screw driven linear actuator constructed into an aluminum housing. Its slide carriage is capable of handling loads up to 4500 pounds maximum. A wide range of drive accessories and environmental configurations are available.
The RACO Rotary Actuator produces force or torque in a rotational direction. It is well suited for fluid valve control, conveyor positioning, flop gate movements, elevator bucket rotation, and more. Several sizes and configurations are available.
RACO motors are asynchronous three-phase AC induction motors with a low moment of inertia, which makes them perfect for starting and accelerating large masses and S3 intermittent duty cycles. They offer a wide range of base speeds from 2 to 8 poles, and are also available in l many common voltages.
RACO sensors are the optimal choice for controlling, regulating, and monitoring electric actuators, linear drives, and rotary drives.
To the Motors & Sensors
RACO has developed a support device that enables the safe loading in lifting applications. This device prevents the actuator from back-driving during the loading process and protects against excessive loading.

RACOmatic® controls integrate with our actuators to offer the maximum process reliability, high production quality, and precise, fully reproducible motion control in any automation process. The RACOmatic® is our fully integrated, turn-key electric actuator system. The hardware, software, and sensors are perfectly matched to the requirements of the respective application to optimize performance of the entire system.
WHY RACO INTERNATIONAL
ENGINEERING AUTHORITY FOR DEMANDING WORK
Since 1950, RACO International has been the actuator manufacturer of choice for engineers who cannot afford downtime. Our electric linear and rotary actuators are built to handle extreme load cycles, corrosive atmospheres, and temperature extremes that would disable lesser equipment.
Unlike off-the-shelf suppliers, every RACO actuator can be custom-engineered to your precise stroke, load, speed, and environmental specification. Our in-house engineering team works directly with procurement managers and OEM partners to deliver solutions that integrate seamlessly into existing systems.
From the positioning of heavy dam gates to the precision movement of automated conveyor arms, RACO actuators are deployed in some of the world's most demanding installations, and have been for generations.
